Hows 'bout that South Park? Leave it to them to tackle the issues at hand by using Jesus and poop!
You know, at the end of the episode, I thought maybe it was intended to censor the Mohamed all along, but it would seem that they were actually going to have Mohamed in the show, and that it was in fact Comedy Central who censored it. I guess it kind of goes along with what they were saying in the episode, how it's either all okay, or none of it is. If it's okay to make fun of God, Jesus, Moses, Christianity as a whole, Jews, Scientologists, Muslims, etc etc, then it's sure as heck okay to have a picture of Mohamed. Such hypocritical bs, I tell you.
One particular thing I noticed in the news was the Washington Post article about it, where they don't mention the "Jesus Christ defecating on President Bush and the American flag" part in context. People who don't watch the show would take that much more offensively than it was meant, since in the show, it was the Muslim retaliation for showing Muhamed on Family Guy.
But anyhow, they've never managed to offend me in the slightest. I think people are just uptight and looking too hard for reasons to lash out in protection of their beliefs. I mean, if you're confident enough in what you believe in, then what's there really to defend against?
